Looking after your health

Welcome from our CEO

Welcome to Spectrum Northants

A long established and trusted registered charity

We are dedicated to supporting adults (17+) with a wide range of learning disabilities, autism, mental health issues, brain injuries, and Asperger’s.

We have two centres, a charity shop and a cafe in Northampton, which provide a range of activities and opportunities to learn and develop life skills. We are a long-established independent charity with a strong financial base and are looking at opportunities to grow and develop. Individual choice and options are central to our timetable, with person-centred planning in place to help everyone meet their goals.

We provide a warm welcome to all who attend our provision. We pride ourselves on creating a calm, relaxing atmosphere and seeing how our service users develop new friendships. Spectrum becomes a special place in their life experiences.

We have a dedicated team of over thirty staff and value the support of the volunteers. The positive enthusiasm of our staff is recognised by the local council, and we are proud of the feedback we receive from service users, parents and carers.

Love this place, have supported for years and seen it grow as a social enterprise. The charity shop, cafe and plants from their allotment. All providing opportunities and funding to support the service users learning and work. We will continue to support and recommend it....

A good sized shop. They have a good amount of books to choose from, some other shops seem to be cutting down on the amount on display.

Have nipped in twice for a takeaway coffee in recent months. On both occasions the coffee has tasted great and not been too expensive by current standards (£3 for a cappuccino), and the staff have been chatty and friendly. The cakes look lovely too, but I've not had a chance to try them... yet. Nice to know it's also helping the wider community.

Very good charity shop with plenty of room inside. Always find something for one of the grandchildren.

Supporters

Spectrum Northants would like to say a thank you to the Co-op Local Community Fund who continue to support Spectrum as their local charity.

We have also been out and about in our local community, we have recently visited The Barratts Club for our service users to play snooker and pool in a local environment, we have visited various garden centres local to us to purchase various plants for our Friendship Gardens which are currently being created at both sites.
